As a high-performing member of the team, the Medical Assistant is key in the delivery of patient care. Operating under the supervision of a physician and/or mid-level provider, the M.A. is able to apply medical knowledge in clinical situations. They work under minimal supervision and are able to efficiently chart and take vital signs. They assist with procedures, patient education, and schedule patients for tests and appointments. Excellent communication skills are an important talent, as phone triage, consistent and smooth patient flow, and collaboration with providers are a must.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant diploma
- High school diploma or GED required
- AHA BLS/CPR certification required (must be obtained or renewed before start date)
*Upon hire, if you do not already have an active WA State MA-C certification, the State of WA provides you the option to get an Interim MA-C certification (that WA State typically converts to a permanent MA-C within 60 days), one of which is required to start in this position.
**Must show M.A. diploma is from a recognized educational program/school (from any state, see list of recognized programs at WA State MA-C application site.
