Jefferson Healthcare is seeking an experienced per diem House Supervisor to enhance our team! In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all nursing care within the hospital during your assigned shifts, ensuring a seamless flow for patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. Your expertise will guide you in monitoring hospital capacity and bed availability, maximizing utilization to provide the best possible patient care.
You will help maintain a safe environment that empowers nurses to be autonomous decision-makers. Collaborating closely with the nursing staff, you'll share in the planning, organizing, and evaluating of clinical patient care, staff education, and professional development initiatives. As a facilitator and resource for personnel, your experience in medical-surgical, cardiac, emergency, and obstetrical nursing will be invaluable. You will uphold nursing principles, policies, and align with our mission, vision, and values while managing and coordinating the needs of staff, visitors, physicians, and patients with professionalism.
Additionally, you will utilize your knowledge of teaching and learning principles, functioning effectively as an RN on an as-needed basis. Your active participation in hospital committees and community meetings will be crucial, and your skills in anticipating and solving problems will help you navigate complex information and situations. While most decisions will align with company policy, your insights will help shape recommendations that may impact both individuals and the organization as a whole. What we can offer you:

What you'll need:
- Current Washington state RN license in good standing
- ACLS, BLS or PEARS, VPI (Violence Protection) required
- NRP, AACN, CEN, or Medical Surgical certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- At least five years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- One-year intensive care experience, emergency nursing or obstetrical nursing preferred
- Demonstrated evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity, initiative, and communication skills
- Experience as a staff mentor/ coach in a previous leadership role required
Schedule: Per Diem; 0-16 hours a week; Variable Shift
