Specialty Pharmacist

Jefferson Healthcare is looking for a qualified full-time Specialty Pharmacist to join our team! In this role, you will be an essential part of our pharmacy department, providing support to patients, staff, and the community. You will focus on delivering patient-centered care and pharmacy services by assessing patient needs, customizing drug therapies, offering comprehensive medication management, and providing thorough patient counseling.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and achieve optimal patient outcomes. As a Specialty Pharmacist at Jefferson Healthcare, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy to patients with a variety of complex and chronic diseases that require high-cost and intensive medication therapies.

What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required
- PharmD preferred
- Current Washington State Pharmacy License in good standing required
- Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred
- Completion of a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency preferred
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in patient care required
- Extensive knowledge of or previous experience with Specialty Pharmacy preferred
- Knowledge of the prior authorization process and medication assistance program preferred
- Completion of ASHP Specialty Pharmacy training and certificate program within 90 days of hire required
- 340B experience preferred
- Experience with pharmacy systems and EPIC preferred
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook preferred
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required
Schedule: 1.0 FTE; 40 hr/week; Variable schedule; 8 hour shifts
