Jefferson Healthcare (www.jeffersonhealthcare.org) is looking for a full-time Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor to join our team. This evening shift supervisor, you will supervise and manage responsibilities of day to day operations including developing work schedules, managing call outs call outs, and redeployments if needed. You will also manage any staff-related items that arise during shifts and conduct quality audits. Experience in a healthcare environment is ideal and attention to detail, conflict management and computer savvy are all skills we're looking for. Our ideal candidate will also be level-headed, take initiative and assertive but always considerate.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three (3) years' related experience in EVS required
  • Three (3) years' leadership experience required, preferably in a healthcare facility
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License

Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall direction to ensure that standards are established and followed which comply with state and federal regulations, including DNV accreditation and Jefferson County Health Department guidelines.
  • Ensures staff compliance with quality expectations by performing quality control audits and reports finds to EVS Manager
  • Coaches staff on performance concerns and follows up with additional training or competency assessment reviews
  • Assists with orientation and training of new employees
  • Assists with annual staff training and compliance records
  • Oversees and maintains a positive work environment by ensuring employee motivation through training, proper tools and equipment, a safe work environment and balanced workloads.
  • Continually seeks ways to improve service, quality and decrease cost.
  • Maintain the ability to perform all EVS duties as necessary for the welfare of patients or the efficient operations of the department.
